This position may require travel to various campuses, district meeting sites and conferences/meetings in and out of state. This position may require the employee to work some evenings and weekends. Work may include noisy and/or disruptive student behavior. Potential exposure to bodily fluids and frequent childhood, pre-teen or teen illnesses may occur.
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree. Demonstrated knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials and equipment of instructional specialty(ies) to which assigned. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional programs. Ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned. Ability to establish and effective relationships with students, peers and parents. If teaching a foreign language, proficiency in oral and written communication in that language. If teaching instrumental music classes, proficiency in one or more musical instruments. For both choral and instrumental music teachers, excellent hearing and ability to determine pitch and tone. If teaching in a vocational trade, including business trades, journey-level proficiency in that trade is required. If teaching auto mechanics or driver education, assigned off-site tasks or serving as an itinerant, possession of an appropriate, valid automotive vehicle operator's license is required.
Nice to Have
Master's degree. CDL Certification preferred if coaching a UIL sport. Coaching experience preferred if coaching a UIL sport. With on the job journey, lead, or supervisory experience highly desirable.

Work in a self-contained, team, departmental, itinerant capacity, or at field work site, as request assistance of and work with resource personnel. Collaborate with other professionals (guidance counselors, librarians) to carry out school-wide instructional or related activities.

Job Overview The Teacher will plan and implement an instructional program and provide related educational services for students in assigned grade levels. The incumbent will manage student behavior, assess and evaluate student achievement, and modify instructional activities as required as well as carry out a variety of student monitoring and controls activities. Any teacher who will coach a UIL sport will also provide athletic services related to that athletic sport and the athletic program. Position Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assess student abilities as related to desired educational goals, objectives and outcomes. Continually assess student achievement and maintain appropriate assessment and evaluation documentation for institutional and individual reporting purposes. Plan appropriate instructional/learning strategies and activities including determination of appropriate kind and level of materials Implement an instructional program which provides appropriate learning experiences, considering different learning styles and a range of learning curves Manage the behavior of learners in instructional setting to ensure environment is conducive to the learning process, assist and participate in management of student behavior in other parts of the school, center, school grounds or work site Coordinate instructional related and testing activities with other professional staff, both school and non-school-based, as required, maximizing learning opportunities Utilize a variety of instructional materials and available multi-media and computer technology to enhance learning Work in a self-contained, team, departmental, itinerant capacity, or at field work site, as assigned; request assistance of and work with resource personnel Participate in in-service and staff development activities and staff meetings as required or assigned Ensure continuous communication with parents, both written and oral, to keep them informed of student(s) progress Continually co
