Full Job Description

Discovery Ranch, a leading residential treatment center for boys aged 13-18 in Utah, is seeking Youth Mentors to join our team. As a Youth Mentor, you will have the opportunity to work with our students, helping them to develop new skills and advance their personal growth. You will be part of a supportive team of experienced professionals who are committed to helping young boys heal mentally, physically, and emotionally. . Discovery Ranch combines the power of traditional and experiential therapies, including equine therapy and horsemanship programs, to create a clinically sophisticated, relationship-based setting that promotes growth and healing. **Responsibilities** * Monitor the students' throughout the night * Help manage and document behavioral issues and progress. * Provide support to students and their families. * Maintain a safe and positive environment for the students. * Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all students, and respond to emergencies as needed * Collaborate with other professionals as part of the treatment team. * Help teach values such as Responsibility, Grit, Honesty, Respect, Courage, Kindness, and Accountability to students * Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain a high standard of care for students Part time hours | $16-17/hour DOE **Weekends:** Friday 10:45pm - Saturday 9:00am, Saturday 10:45pm- Sunday 9:00am & Sunday 10:45pm- Monday 7:00am **Located in Mapleton, Utah.** * _Entry level with opportunity to advance_ * _Gain professional behavioral and mental health experience_ * _Help teenagers in need_ **Requirements** _**Please note: your resume should include education, work experience, certifications, and licenses**_ * Must be able to pass a background check * Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team * Must be able to demonstrate flexibility, patience, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment * Ability to respond effectively and efficiently in crisis situ
