Must Have
Valid CDL A driver's license with certs to pull 53ft trailers and current DOT, Valid CDL Class [A] license with a clean driving record, Medical Card, DOT drug test, Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks, such as climbing in and out of trucks, Ability to lift to 50 pounds, Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, attention to detail, Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, Good communication skills
Nice to Have
Previous experience as a yard jockey or similar role preferred, understanding of yard and trailer operations, Ability to safely operate yard trucks and move trailers in tight spaces, Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures, Excellent communication and teamwork skills
What You'll Do.
Safely move trailers and containers around the yard
Perform daily inspections of yard tractors and trailers
Coordinate with warehouse and dock personnel
Secure trailers by setting the parking brakes
Maintain a clean and organized yard
Report any equipment malfunctions
Assist with light maintenance tasks
Follow all company safety procedures and protocols
Participate in distribution responsibilities as assigned
Contribute to team productivity goals
