We have an exciting, newly created position for a Yard Hand to join our team in Fremantle / Henderson, WA on a full-time, permanent basis. **_Why You’ll Want to Join Us_** This is a newly created role to support the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of vessel docking and maintenance projects for internal and external clients by contributing to dockyard operations, equipment readiness and compliance with safety and environmental standards. **_How You’ll Make a Difference_** Reporting to the Dockyard Manager, your key responsibilities will include: * Support the Ship’s Engineer, Docking Project Manager and contractors in the safe execution of docking works. * Perform routine facility and plant maintenance in accordance with the Planned Maintenance System. * Manage inventory of consumables and notify the Dockyard Manager of replenishment requirements. * Assist with mechanical, structural and general labour tasks associated with vessel repair activities. * Conduct hull pressure washing and surface preparation activities. * Remove, refit and assist with vessel equipment as directed. **_What You’ll Bring_** To thrive in this role, you’ll bring: * Experience in shipyard operations, vessel maintenance or heavy industrial environments, with exposure to docking, repair or refit activities is highly regarded. * Trade or marine qualification would be advantageous, particularly in mechanical, fabrication or engineering disciplines. * Current High Risk Work Licences and certifications including Forklift, Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights, with demonstrated experience ope
