Must Have
0-1 years experience, Prior radiology technologist experience, ARRT certificate, Basic Life Support (BLS), License NJ Bureau of Radiological Health, Ability to communicate in English, Ability to perform diverse work assignments, Ability to use problem solving, Ability to use critical thinking, Ability to use priority setting skills
Nice to Have
Associates degree preferred, 2-4 years preferred, Experience with Standard Office Equipment, Experience with Standard Office Technology, Experience in a Window based environment
What You'll Do.
Assume accountability for managing delivery of care
Prepare patients for procedures
Operate CR / Digital X-ray system
Operate imaging equipment properly
Operate and perform Bone Density exams
Obtain and document patient history
Assess patients for potential risk factors
Ensure proper identification of patient
Clarify / follow Doctor’s orders
Scan needed information in PACS
Complete procedures within acceptable time
Produce quality diagnostic images
Maintain x-ray room cleanliness
Adhere to infection control standards
Perform QA/QC testing
Prioritize and organize work assignments
Adjust priorities based on changing situations
Maintain order and cleanliness in technologist work area
Consult and communicate with other departments
Plan delivery of care
Demonstrate awareness of Radiation Safety procedures
Assist Radiologist in performing fluoroscopic procedures
Obtain patient information /chart notes
Document fluoroscopy time
Scan paperwork for Radiologist
Ensure equipment is in acceptable condition
Conduct routine quality control checks
Follow department standards for reporting equipment malfunctions
Follow / adhere to sterile procedures
Verify exams in the PACS system
Direct the daily operations of radiology functions
Assure welfare of patients
Assure welfare of staff
Maintain equipment records
Make recommendations for equipment replacement
Plan orientation of new technical staff
Assist in orientation of new technical staff
Implement Quality Control
Oversee Quality Control
Demonstrate understanding of safety
