What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Diploma from a vocational/technical school, 0-1 years experience, Prior radiology technologist experience, Knowledge of procedural details, ARRT certificate, Basic Life Support (BLS), License NJ Bureau of Radiological Health, Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, interpersonal and communication skills, Ability to perform diverse work assignments with time limitations with a high degree of accuracy, Ability to use problem solving, critical thinking and priority setting skills
Nice to Have
Associates degree, 2-4 years preferred, Experience with Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail), Experience with Standard Office Technology in a Window based environment
What You'll Do.
Manage delivery of care
Prepare patients for procedures
Perform Bone Density exams
Obtain and document patient history
Ensure proper identification of patient
Clarify Doctor’s orders
Produce quality diagnostic images
Maintain x-ray room cleanliness
Adhere to infection control standards
Perform QA/QC testing
Prioritize and organize work assignments
Maintain order and cleanliness
Consult and communicate with other departments
Plan delivery of care
Locate emergency equipment
Demonstrate awareness of Radiation Safety
Obtain patient information for fluoroscopy
Document fluoroscopy time
Ensure equipment is in acceptable condition
Report equipment malfunctions
Follow sterile procedures
Direct daily operations of radiology functions
Assure welfare of patients and staff
Maintain equipment records
Recommend equipment replacement
Plan orientation of new staff
Implement Quality Control
Oversee Quality Control
Demonstrate understanding of safety
Cancel and reschedule patient appointments
Replenish and change supplies
Perform Bone Density procedures
