Must Have
2-yr associate degree in plant Utilities Technology, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC/Refrigeration Services, or Water treatment, and 3-5 years industrial experience, Military technical service experience in electro-mechanical controls related to facilities operations, and 3-5 years industrial experience, High school diploma or GED, and 5-7 years industrial experience, At least 18 years of age

Technical understanding of electro-mechanical equipment/systems, Direct knowledge or work experience in facilities infrastructure maintenance/operations support such as manufacturing, hospitals, educational campuses, and/or military installations

# ******Job Description Summary****** # **Job Description** As Central Plant Operator, you will work along with a team of fellow rotating shift operators to monitor the continuous production and delivery of utility processes in the areas of; Industrial Wastewater Treatment, HVAC Steam and Chiller Water, and Compressed Air/Industrial Gases. **Duties** : A successful candidate will work under the guidance and direction of Facilities Operations Supervisor and others to maintain plant operations in a safe, efficient and reliable manner. A 6-month minimum training program is allotted to familiarize and develop the candidate for evaluation and eventual qualification as a competent Central Plant Operator. * Monitor/log equipment operational parameters. * Exhibit sound judgement in dispatching and adjusting process equipment to suit site specific demands. * Assist in daily/seasonal transitions to operate and service boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps and all other associated process control equipment. * Test/calibrate/dose process chemistry and adjust dispensing equipment. * Respond and react to alarms and upsets to protect equipment and associated facilities infrastructure. * Assist and guide Trades labor in the installation and maintenance plant facilities equipment. * Certify/submit environment emissions compliance records for air/water discharge. * Maintain proper housekeeping practices to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others. * Cleaning/replace filters and blow-down piping systems to minimize process flow contamination. * Assist in maintaining inventory of wear item and other critical spares. **Requirements:** Candidate should have a strong technical understanding of electro-mechanical equipment/systems. Direct knowledge or work experience in facilities infrastructure maintenance/operations support such as manufacturing, hospitals, educational campuses, and/or military installations is a plus. * 2-yr Applied associate degree in plant Utilities Tech
