About the Role We’re looking for a highly organized, hospitality-minded Workplace Events Coordinator to help bring OpenAI’s events to life at our San Francisco headquarters. You’ll support a wide mix of programs—from weekly internal gatherings and team moments to curated customer visits and cross-functional events. You’ll collaborate with teams across the company, own day-of logistics, and help ensure each event feels polished, welcoming, and thoughtfully executed. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, pays attention to the details, is a superb communicator and loves creating seamless, high-impact experiences for others. This role is fully onsite 3–5 days per week in our San Francisco offices. What You’ll Do - Support the planning and execution of internal events, recurring programs, team moments, and customer-facing engagements. - Own day-of logistics—room bookings and setups, catering coordination, sign-in and guest flow, décor, entertainment, supply management, and AV touchpoints. - Partner with Workplace, Culinary, AV, Security, Executive Business Partners and other cross-functional stakeholders to keep programs aligned and well-coordinated. - Maintain event calendars, run-of-show documents, checklists, and tooling that keep operations running smoothly. - Provide warm, high-touch onsite hosting and troubleshoot issues in real time to ensure a smooth experience. - Support teammates during large-scale events and high-volume days—our team succeeds because we collaborate closely.
