Our client is a digital-focused creative and web development company specializing in building, optimizing, and maintaining high-performing WordPress websites for a large portfolio of clients across multiple industries. With a strong emphasis on design quality, website performance, UX best practices, and scalable development, the company is seeking a skilled WordPress Software Developer to support ongoing development, maintenance, and optimization initiatives across more than 300 client websites. LOCATION Fully Remote | Preferably aligned with 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM CET ROLE OVERVIEW The WordPress Software Developer will play a critical role in the development, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of the company’s portfolio of WordPress websites. This role requires strong experience in WordPress theme and plugin development, responsive front-end development, and building visually polished pages using Elementor. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, technically strong, and comfortable collaborating with designers and product stakeholders to deliver fast, scalable, and user-friendly web experiences. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WORDPRESS DEVELOPMENT - Create and maintain WordPress plugins - Create and maintain WordPress themes - Build responsive webpages using Elementor, HTML, TailwindCSS, and raw CSS - Write clean, well-documented, and testable code - Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions WEBSITE PERFORMANCE & OPTIMIZATION - Ensure websites load quickly and perform well in tools such as Google PageSpeed Insights and Pingdom Page Load Speed Analyzer - Ensure websites are indexable by Google and other search engines - Apply UX best practices including responsive design, lazy loading, and ADA compliance - Perform qualit
