Traveling position, 6 weeks on with 1 week off (unpaid), Climb heights 300 ft. and greater several times daily, Ability to climb and work on turbine towers with heights up to 300 ft. daily, Ability to lift 75lbs individually, Walking, Climbing of stairs, Climbing of ladders, Climbing of scaffolds, Working in all-weather outdoor conditions, Weight restriction of 265 pounds
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High School/GED, Ability to complete Level job performance measures and training Deriva Energy renewables academy within 1 year, External Candidates - (3+) years of related work experience, Must pass required Turbine Technician and Electrical Operator JPMs within the probationary period, Internal Candidates - (1+) year of technical experience with Deriva Energy as a Wind Technician, Must also have Turbine Technician-1 and Electrical Operator1 JPM Completed, Valid Driver’s License required, Must pass a background check and drug test prior to hire
Nice to Have
AAS degree or certification in Wind/Renewable Energy or applicable field of study, Experience with Vestas V82 and V90 turbines, Experience with multiple wind turbine supplier technologies, High voltage and substation maintenance experience, Familiarity with mechanical and electronic testing equipment, Knowledge of heavy equipment for facility maintenance, Working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements, Competent with Maximo EZ Max mobile work and My Time management systems, Microsoft Office Including Excel/Word/PowerPoint, CPR and AED Training Certification, TSL tower climber and rescue & EEM training, Forklift certified, Completion of OEM or third-party technical specialty training program
