Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering with Master's Degree in Welding, At least 12 years of related experience, Professional certification in welding engineering (IWE, CWE), ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT and PT, Certified ISO 9001: 2015 Internal auditor, Certified 3.1 CSWIP required, Knowledgeable in Welding Process, Welding Procedure Qualification in line with ASME SEC IX, AWS D1. 1, API 1104, ISO 13847, SHELL DEP, ADNOC specifications, Familiar with Welding defect identification and root causes with control measures to prevent occurrence, hands on welding training for implementation contractor and vendor welding teams, well versed in monitoring of welding repair data and welder performance, Shall be conversant with resolution of site welding issues including selection of welding consumable based on various material groupings, Ability to optimize welding procedure qualification based on material standard and production thickness, O&G Projects experience
Nice to Have
Master's Degree in Welding, ADNOC experience will be an advantage, Lead auditor is preferred, 3.2 is preferred
What You'll Do.
Assists in the preparation of quality documentation
including the Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and in the review of construction documents for compliance with project quality requirements related to Welding works.
Monitors all phases and processes required for the effective completion of all related Welding works and in particular issues of design
construction and final hand over of the related Welding works.
Monitors the implementation of Method Statements
Inspection & Test Plans related to Welding works
and ensure all necessary records are generated in a timely manner in their area of assigned responsibility.
Manages the inspection and testing of Welding works in their area of assigned responsibilities
including monitoring the work of QC Inspectors under their authority.
Monitors the close out of punch lists established for incomplete related to Welding works.
Monitors all measurement & testing instruments employed for Welding works
that they are functional and calibrated.
reviews and approves welder qualifications and WPS
Liaises and coordinates with 3rd Party Testing /Inspection Company as required related to Welding works.
Statistical analysis and evaluation of test data related to Welding works.
maintains test/inspection records and any other quality records generated related to Welding works.
Assisting construction personnel to identify and resolve problems and potential or actual non-conformances related to Welding works.
Advises the QC Manager of non-conformance occurrences and where necessary
raises a Non-conformance Report for non-compliant work
and monitors the closeout and effectiveness of the correction and corrective action undertaken.
assists the QC Manager in undertaking periodic audits
including those of sub-contractors and suppliers
in particular technical compliance audits in their field of specialization.
Attends and witnesses all Client verification of work (inspection
test and the like) on site
and coordinates close out of any and all outstanding issues related to Welding works.
assists in the preparation of final document for certification.
