Ability to travel to different vendor and Blue Origin facilities, Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs, Bend/kneel, stoop/crouch, twist/turn, grasp/reach overhead and outward frequently, Work requires the ability to change into or out of personal protective equipment when entering or exiting manufacturing, laboratory, or other areas, Work may require the ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, crane, hoist, man lift, etc. ), Must be able to pass a practical Weld Test (1F, 2G, 3G and 6G), Must be a U. S. citizen or national, U. S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U. S. as a refugee or granted asylum, Work 1st or 2nd shift, as well as weekends and overtime, when necessary, Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation, Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10, 001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training., Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3-5 years GTAW welding experience in an aerospace or precision manufacturing production environment, 3-5 years of experience GTAW welding Stainless, Ability to fabricate and use hand tools on an Intermediate level, Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs, Bend/kneel, stoop/crouch, twist/turn, grasp/reach overhead and outward frequently, Work requires the ability to change into or out of personal protective equipment when entering or exiting manufacturing, laboratory, or other areas, Work may require the ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, crane, hoist, man lift, etc. ), Ability to travel to different vendor and Blue Origin facilities, Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion, Must be able to pass a practical Weld Test (1F, 2G, 3G and 6G), Must be a U. Nice to Have
Experience in using automated welding equipment, Some technical coursework and/or AA technical degree/equivalent, Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing principles, Current GTAW certifications in accordance with ASME B31. 3 or AWS D17. 1, Some level of confidence in aerospace manufacturing specifications for large complex thick wall tubes and pipe, thin wall ducts, and welded assemblies, Ability to operate material handling equipment. (forklift, crane, hoist, man lift, etc. ), Work 1st or 2nd shift, as well as weekends and overtime, when necessary

Mechanical aptitude, ability to follow detailed technical instructions and clearly communicate both verbal and written instructions is paramount. In this role you will collaborate with engineering to implement and refine new manufacturing processes. This position will report to the Weld Shop Supervisor and directly supports our manufacturing integration teams. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.
