What They're Looking For.
Must Have
1+ years of related experience and/or training in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing or 4 years’ direct experience in an industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance environment, At least 2 years of responsible metal fabrication experience, Operate equipment used in welding and metal fabrication including band saws, grinders, break, shear, drill press, chop saw, plasma cutter etc., Use of all metal working equipment, Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift or scissor lift or other powered industrial trucks (PIT), Understand and follow oral and written instructions, Ability to read and execute work order, write daily reports, and translate equipment manuals
Nice to Have
Sanitary / purge welding experience with stainless steel, light gauge materials highly preferred, Vocational Diploma, Technical Diploma or associate degree from a technical maintenance or vocational school, Possess the ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors
What You'll Do.
and fabricate items and components out of metal and various materials
Follow all company safety protocols
including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT procedures
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Maintain key machinery and systems like pumps
Perform regular checks to prevent problems and keep everything running efficiently
Fix breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime and keep production moving
Keep the plant in top shape
Handle tasks like painting
and grounds maintenance
Ensure the plant’s exterior looks as good as the inside
Follow safety protocols and regulations
especially when handling hazardous materials
Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with OSHA
Respond quickly in emergencies to keep everyone safe and the plant running smoothly
Help install new equipment and ensure everything is set up correctly
Take on special projects to improve efficiency
and supplies to ensure everything is ready when needed
Assist with product transport across the plant and to external locations as needed

Team & Collaboration
Work with maintenance and production teams to solve problems and improve performance; Communicate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and maintenance
