“Welder at Cornerstone Building Brands. Skills: welding, production environment, blueprint reading. Engages in the full scope of MIG weld processes on a variety of structural steel including (but not limited to) rigid frame columns, rafters, pipe, beam canopy rafters, small parts, clips, and special assemblies.. Responsible for coordination of welder settings, gun speed/travel and gas flow with observed condition of bead”
What You'll Achieve.
holding bead to specified shape, size and penetrations while maintain the quality of the product
Industry & Context.
Ability to decide when adjustment or gun manipulation needs to be altered; Ability to decide how much and what repairs to make for pin holes and burn through caused by auto welder
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
A minimum of one (1) year of experience welding in a production environment or valid welding certification, Ability to read blueprints and drawings, Ability to obtain and maintain CWB and AWS welding certification in accordance with Cornerstone Building Brands welding procedures, Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines, Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments, Knows and understands all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and about a manufacturing environment
Nice to Have
Experience with a forklift and/or overhead crane operation a plus, Comfort and familiarity with power hand tools, Willingness to train, certify, and operate forklift and overhead crane
What You'll Do.
Engages in the full scope of MIG weld processes on a variety of structural steel including (but not limited to) rigid frame columns
and special assemblies.
Responsible for coordination of welder settings

Responsible for holding bead to specified shape
size and penetrations while maintain the quality of the product
Responsible for keeping numerical and alphabetical sequences correct
Maintains continuous improvement practices in work area
