Full Job Description
Shift 1 (United States of America) **Coperion** is currently seeking a **Welder** to support our location in Whitewater, WI. There is a lot of room for growth in other disciplines if desired! We have a 5S environment, a very clean production floor and great people to work with! **Schedule: 1st shift Monday-Thursday 6am-3pm & Friday 6am - Noon** **Responsibilities:** * Performs welding and/or fitting, set-up, and layout of raw and formed metal in the creation of metal products * Basic ability to read prints, tolerances, and job requirements * Cleans and/or grinds welds * Performs general basic maintenance on equipment and workstation ensuring a clean, safe and orderly work environment * Checks of quality of welds, repairing as needed * Performs basic use of grinders, bevellers, torches, and other standard welding equipment * Support our lean manufacturing process with 5S * Adhere to ISO 9001 company standards, work instructions and procedures **Required Education/Experience/Skills:** * High School Diploma or equivalent * Welding Certificate or 3 or more years’ welding experience * Prior TIG Welding required * Mechanical aptitude * Ability to multitask * Basic computer knowledge preferred * Dependability a must * Blueprint and Schematic Reading required **Who we are:** Coperion ([_www.coperion.com_](http://www.coperion.com/)) is a global industry and technology leader in process technology serving a variety of end markets, including plastics, plastics recycling, food, pet food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, chemical, battery, and mineral industries.
