Shift 1 (United States of America) As a Welder, you’ll play an important role in producing durable, high-quality equipment that supports industrial manufacturing worldwide. You’ll join Coperion, a Hillenbrand company, at our Sabetha, Kansas facility, where disciplined execution and attention to detail drive daily work. We design and manufacture processing equipment and systems used across a range of industries that rely on safe, reliable material handling and processing. Your work will contribute to operational excellence, long-term product performance, and sustainable growth through consistent, standards-based welding practices. **Location:** Sabetha, Kansas **Shift:** 1st shift (4:00 a.m., 5:00 a.m., or 6:00 a.m. start times) **Schedule:** 45-hour work week **WHAT YOU’LL DO:** * Perform welding, fitting, setup, and layout of raw and formed metal using established procedures to produce finished components that meet specifications. * Weld common metals and alloys of varying sizes and thicknesses to drawings, quality requirements, and safety standards. * Clean, grind, and finish welds using appropriate tools and methods to achieve required appearance and performance. * Inspect welds for quality, identify defects, and complete repairs to ensure structural integrity and compliance. * Perform basic maintenance and care of welding equipment and workstations to support safe, efficient operations. * Follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and standard processes to deliver consistent, repeatable results. * Collaborate with teammates on shared tasks and continuous improvement efforts within the manufacturing area. **TEAM:** * You’ll work as part of a collaborative manufacturing team where you’ll coordinate daily work, share knowledge, and support a respectful, inclusive environment.
