Must Have

Registered as an Apprentice Welder with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT), Actively enrolled in an approved trade school program, 500 hours of welding experience

Nice to Have

Experience or coursework involving GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, or SMAW processes, Familiarity with fabrication processes such as cutting, fitting, tacking, grinding and material preparation, Understanding of basic quality control concepts and adherence to manufacturing or production standards, Previous work experience in an industrial, commercial or manufacturing environment, Working knowledge of welding tools, materials and equipment used in manufacturing environments, Experience with routine welding maintenance operations

What You'll Do.

Perform welding and fabrication tasks

Read and interpret blueprints

Operate welding equipment

Perform flame-cutting operations

Operate metal fabrication equipment

Perform fit-up and tack welding

Assist with inspections and repairs

Conduct visual inspections of welds

Maintain maintenance reports

Monitor welding parts usage

Support quality control checks

Complete assigned welding tasks

Adhere to shop hygiene

Adhere to safety program standards
