Must Have

11 years’ related wealth management, investment, trust or estate planning experience working with complex tax and legal issues, 4 years’ managerial experience

Nice to Have

MBA (Master’s degree in Business Administration) or JD (Juris Doctor), CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CTFA (Certified Trust and Financial Advisor) or similar certification

What You'll Do.

Leads and manages assigned staff within the Greater NY City/Tri-state area of Wealth Management

Represents Wilmington Trust in working in collaboration with the Commercial

Business and Private Banking teams to expand brand recognition and business opportunities in a specific market for wealthy clients

Direct and participate in the development and management of wealth client relationships with individuals

business owners and families

Work closely with families and their advisors to ensure the relationship is handled efficiently and effectively in the delivery of services to these relationships

Refer client requests for additional products to the appropriate sales specialist within the organization

Provide sales leadership and manages the sales process for assigned team

Establish team goals and track their performance

Represent the Bank in civic and community activities

Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing

Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards

policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite

maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk on an ongoing basis

Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management

Maintain M&T internal control standards

including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable
