What They're Looking For.
Must Have
BS or MS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Chemical Engineering with an emphasis in water/wastewater engineering., State Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification (Fundamentals of Engineering examination)., Ability to effectively communicate in both in-person and virtual formats., Ability to effectively coordinate engineering solutions in a multidiscipline engineering team., Verbal, computer (MS Office), and organizational skills., Technical writing skills., ArcGIS experience.
Nice to Have
Exposure to process modeling software such as EnviroSim’s BioWin and Hydromantis’ GPS-X.
What You'll Do.
Assist with engineering tasks such as collection and analysis of data.
Prepare calculations and designs of treatment processes
and pumping facilities.
Check design computations and quantity estimates.
Use computer models to simulate real world conditions.
Develop process calculations and hydraulic calculations for water
and storm water treatment
and collection systems.
Civil 3D and other applicable engineering design tools.
Work in collaboration with other disciplines (mechanical
and CAD) to support project managers in producing plans and specifications.
Work under the guidance of senior engineers to develop asset management plans
and financial rate studies.
Support construction phase services which may include review of shop drawings
participation in progress meetings
as well as construction observation and/or inspection.
Assist with development of reports
and plans for: water supply
and wastewater conveyance
pumping and treatment.
Interface with equipment suppliers to prepare materials and equipment purchase specifications for client recommendations.
Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
