Must Have
Valid driver's license with good driving record, Current State of Texas Journeyman (or higher) Electrician's License, May be subject to evening and weekend shifts, May be subject to inclement weather conditions, May be subject to twenty-four (24) hour emergency call outs
Nice to Have
Some positions may require a valid Texas Class A or Commercial Driver's License.
What You'll Do.
and maintains the electrical equipment and fixtures of city buildings and facilities
Troubleshoots electrical and/or electronic apparatus
and maintains various electrical equipment such as control circuits
temporary and existing construction
Performs preventive maintenance work on electrical equipment and fixtures
Reads blueprints or electrical diagrams to determine locations of equipment and conformance to building and safety codes
Tests circuits and electric components to locate broken connections or defective current-control mechanisms
and lays wires according to diagrams to install and repair fixtures
Trains apprentice electricians and/or small crew of helpers in electrical systems installation and repair procedures
Documents maintenance and repair activities
