2 Years’ experience as a wastewater operator preferred, Bakery Industry, Understanding of commercial bakeries and bakery equipment., Understands the water and wastewater process, along with operation of the equipment relative to the wastewater process., Oral and written communication – effective., Personal Computer Skills – Literate with MS Excel, Word.
What You'll Do.
Ensure equipment is functioning properly
Monitor equipment for potential failures
Make minor repairs or adjustments
Collect water samples for chemical analysis
Monitor all flows into and out of equipment
Add chemicals to disinfect water
Inspect equipment on a regular basis
Monitor operating conditions
Collect and test water and sewage samples
Record meter and gauge readings
Operate equipment to purify water
Process or dispose of sewage
Clean and maintain equipment
Follow U. S Environmental Protection Agency regulations
Ensure safety standards are met
Work in conjunction with outside pumping contractors
Assist contractors as needed
Maintain clean wastewater building

**_Your Opportunity as a Wastewater Treatment Tech_** Ensure that pumps, conveyers, blowers, chlorinators, vacuum equipment, and others wastewater treatment equipment are functioning properly. Monitor equipment for potential failures and may make minor repairs or adjustments as needed. Collect water samples for chemical analysis. **Location:** 1969 Victory Dr, Columbus, GA 31901 (Hostess Manufacturing Plant) **Work Arrangements:** 100% on-site, Day Shift 6am-6pm (flexibility required) **Compensation Base Rate:** $38.64/hr **Benefits:** **In this Role You Will:** Monitor all flows into and out of the wastewater equipment. Water and wastewater treatment plan and system operators manage a system of machines, often through the use of control boards, to transfer or treat water or wastewater. Water and wastewater treatment plant and system operators typically do the following: * Add chemicals, such as ammonia or chlorine, to disinfect water or other liquids * Inspect equipment on a regular basis * Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges * Collect and test water and sewage samples * Record meter and gauge readings and operational data * Operate equipment to purify and clarify water or to process or dispose of sewage * Clean and maintain equipment, tanks, filter beds, and other work areas * Follow U.S Environmental Protection Agency regulations * Ensure safety standards are met. * Work in conjuncture with outside pumping contractors and local contractors to assist as needed. * Maintain clean wastewater building, flume, and equipment. * Perform other duties assigned. **_The Right Role for You_** We are bold, kind, strive to do the right thing, we play to win, and we believe in a strong community that thrives together.
