What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field, 3+ years of experience in waste treatment engineering, wastewater treatment, chemical treatment, industrial utilities, or related facilities engineering, Experience reviewing engineering work such as P&IDs, specifications, layouts, 3D models, or equipment documentation, Working knowledge of waste treatment systems, regulatory compliance requirements, and environmental standards such as EPA, RCRA, Clean Water Act, SEMI S2, or local environmental codes, Ability to work 100% on-site at the project location

Nice to Have

Experience supporting semiconductor, pharmaceutical, data center, or other high-tech industrial facilities with complex waste treatment or wet mechanical systems, Experience overseeing third-party design firms, contractors, vendors, or construction partners through design, construction, commissioning, or operational turnover, Familiarity with BIM tools such as Revit or Navisworks, AutoCAD, clash detection, and design coordination workflows, Experience with control systems such as PLC or SCADA in industrial, utility, or facilities environments, Professional Engineer certification, Hazardous Waste Operations certification, Experience with sustainable design practices related to water conservation, energy efficiency, or environmental compliance

As the **NY Waste Treatment Operations Engineer** , you will support the design, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness of waste treatment systems for Micron’s semiconductor manufacturing facility in Clay, New York. * This role will oversee third-party design partners, contractors, and vendors to ensure waste treatment systems meet Micron’s project requirements, performance standards, safety expectations, and regulatory compliance requirements.
