High School diploma or GED, Driver License with clean driving record, 2+ years of hazardous waste experience, Must be clean shaven for respirator usage
Nice to Have
40-Hour Hazwoper with current 8-hour refresher, 2+ years in hazardous waste field service, Manage and oversee large project/job, Knowledge of facility permit, Knowledge of DOT packaging requirements, Knowledge of waste routing and disposal, Knowledge of Hazardous Materials, Knowledge of OSHA Regulations, Communicates effectively with customers, Operates various equipment, Able to be a problem solver, Adapt to change quickly and effectively, Performs functions safely and productively, Conduct and lead daily safety meetings, Trains environmental technicians
What You'll Do.
Oversee team of environmental technicians
Consolidate hazardous waste
Treat hazardous waste
Store hazardous waste
Transport hazardous waste
Dispose of hazardous waste
Maintain records with accuracy
Train environmental technicians
Segregate material for transport
Package material for transport
Complete required paperwork
Manage large projects and jobs
Manage a team of technicians
Communicate schedule to team
Distribute work to team
Assist team in job duties
Train technicians on equipment operation
Train technicians on service line processes
Train technicians on necessary paperwork
Provide training and coaching
Follow Health & Safety procedures
Follow Job Safety Analysis procedures
Operate heavy equipment
Move materials for storage
Collect samples of inbound waste
Perform onsite testing of unknown materials
Maintain records for DOT Officials
Maintain records for State Officials
Assist in other areas of location
Travel to customer assistance
Support staff training
Perform other tasks as assigned
