What You'll Do.
Enforce operational procedures
Verify incoming shipments
Verify outgoing shipments
Keep warehouse inventory current
Inspect physical condition of warehouse
Coordinate repairs with outside vendors
Coordinate repairs with forklift mechanics
Oversee warehouse in absence of Manager
Report high cost repairs
Work with production supervisors
Ensure coordination of warehouse activities
Report higher level issues to management
Oversee receiving activities
Oversee cycle count activities
Train new warehouse employees
Re-evaluate training needs
Coordinate staffing requirements
Cover attendance shortage
Direct salvage of damaged material
Direct salvage of used material
Perform month end inventory
Ensure physical inventories reconcile
Ensure maintenance of clean warehouse
Ensure maintenance of orderly warehouse
Ensure maintenance of safe warehouse
Participate in planning personnel safety
Participate in planning plant protection
