Full Job Description
At SanMar, the work you do makes a difference. Address: 10462 Hickory Hill Road Ashland, VA 23005 Shift: Monday through Friday 2:30 p. m. to 11:00 p. m. Hourly Rate: $18.50 (plus a $1 shift differential) What's the Short Version? The Warehouse Associate II supports warehouse inventory by monitoring production; loading and moving product; designating storage areas; adjusting storage areas according to production and shipping requirements; and verifying product inventory reports. What Will You Be Doing? · Unload/load incoming and outgoing trailers, operating powered lift equipment to move product and materials as needed. · Store product by designating storage areas; adjusting storage areas according to production and shipping requirements; updating location database. · Prepare product for shipment by verifying location; directing movement to staging area; resolving problems. · Verify product inventory reports by comparing logs and reports; adjusting entries. · Document warehouse actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records; maintaining databases. · Monitor inventory by completing counts as required. · Research and resolve any discrepancies with shipments, locations, or product. As needed, quickly and accurately locates missing product to complete and ship customer orders in a timely fashion. · Support other functions of the Distribution Center as needed, including processing returns, invoicing and tagging shipments, inputting stats and generating reports, and building carts. · Maintain safe, secure, and healthy warehouse environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alerting others regarding potential concerns. What Are We Looking For? · High School Diploma or GED Preferred · 1-3 years experience in a warehouse environment · Strong customer service skills. · Ability to read, write and have sufficient ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label and SKU information. · Demonstrated verbal and written communica
