Full Job Description
**Overview** The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately processing incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying materials against documentation, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring that all materials flow efficiently through the warehouse to support plant operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely deliveries, proper documentation, and compliance with company and regulatory standards. ### ### **What You 'll Do** * Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of raw materials, components, and supplies against purchase orders and packing slips. * Record and document all incoming and outgoing shipments in the warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP system. * Prepare, package, label, and stage outgoing shipments in accordance with customer requirements and shipping regulations. * Coordinate with carriers and freight companies for timely pickup and delivery. * Assit in maintaining accurate inventory records, including cycle counts and adjustments, to support production needs. * As required, operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. * Ensure compliance with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies during all warehouse activities. * Collaborate with production, purchasing, and quality control teams to resolve shipment discrepancies. * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. ### ### **What You 'll Need** * High school diploma or equivalent required. * 1–3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations (manufacturing experience preferred). * Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems is a plus. * Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation. * Ability to read and interpret shipping documents, packing slips, and invoices. * Effective communication and teamwork skills. * Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, ERP/WMS systems). * Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
