What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Valid driver's license, At least 21 years of age, Non-expired medical certificate, No suspended driver's license past 3 years, No at fault accidents past 3 years
Nice to Have
Prior warehouse experience, Certification to operate forklift, Certification to operate hand truck, Certification to operate pallet jack, Certification to operate other warehouse equipment, General knowledge of electrical products, High School or GED
What You'll Do.
Contribute to safety culture
Follow Standard Operating Procedures
Address safety concerns
Verify received material quantity
Verify received material description
Stock incoming orders
Report freight damage claims
Prepare branch orders
Ship correct product type
Ship correct product number
Process shipment paperwork
Verify merchandise to be shipped
Apply correct postage tape
Follow customer shipping instructions
Insure shipment when necessary
Operate forklift when required
Operate reach truck when required
Operate wire cutting machine when required
Load common carrier vehicles
Load company vehicles
Perform minor maintenance on equipment
Perform inventory counts
Reconcile inventory discrepancies
Assist with warehouse duties
Assist with branch duties
Operate delivery vehicles
Deliver products to customers
Deliver products to branch locations
Deliver products to warehouse locations
Deliver products to company suppliers
Inspect company vehicle
Complete daily inspection report
Keep company vehicle clean
Keep company vehicle serviced
Alert supervisor of repair needs
Alert supervisor of service needs
Follow DOT driving laws
Follow local driving laws
Follow state driving laws
Ensure material for order is correct
Ensure material is free of damage
Prepare orders for delivery
Complete delivery documentation
Obtain customer signature on delivery receipt
Pick up material returns
Inspect condition of returned material
Verify quantities of returned material
Verify catalog numbers of returned material
Pick up material from suppliers
Train entry level Truck Drivers
Provide mentorship to Truck Drivers
Provide coaching to Truck Drivers
Perform other duties as assigned
