It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distill it down to a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this: Mews is at a significant stage of its growth – building the financial infrastructure, reporting standards and compliance programmes that a scaled, global business needs. The accounting function is central to that, and it needs a leader who has been here before. This role leads the accounting organisation at Mews: controlling and reporting, AP and tax, technical accounting, payroll and, soon, accounts receivable. The teams are based primarily in Prague, technically strong, and highly motivated. What they're missing is a leader who can answer hard accounting questions, close the books faster, and help them understand what their roles look like as the business continues to scale. This isn't a steady-state role. Mews operates across 32 entities, has a SOX programme underway, and is building toward the reporting standards and compliance posture of a public-ready business.
