What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Related Field, 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting, or controllership, Proficiency in ERP systems (e. g. , SAP, Oracle Financials), Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Experience with data visualization tools (e. g. , Power BI), MS Suite, Language Proficiency - English
Nice to Have
Master’s degree, Experience in multi-site, healthcare, or service-based organizations, CPA preferred, Deep expertise in financial accounting, reporting, and internal control, business acumen with the ability to translate financial data into operational insights, Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leaders across functions, Experience leading transformation, automation, or process improvement initiatives, leadership, communication, and organizational skills
What You'll Do.
Lead all aspects of accounting
and compliance with GAAP
Maintain the integrity of financial records and ensure a internal control environment to mitigate risk
and annual close processes and reporting requirements
Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external audits
actionable financial insights
identifying risks and opportunities to improve performance
Lead and support finance transformation initiatives
including shared services and process standardization
Drive adoption of automation and digital solutions to improve efficiency and scalability
Engage internal and external partners to deliver projects within defined scope
and develop a high-performing finance team
including succession planning and capability building
Provide financial oversight and partnership on capital investments and strategic initiatives
Support long-term financial planning and enterprise growth priorities
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaborate with MVH stakeholders to align financial practices, support enterprise-wide initiatives, and ensure consistency in reporting and controls; Partner with support office and field leadership to ensure financial results reflect business operations and support informed decision-making; Collaborate across functions to align financial reporting with operational drivers in a multi-site veterinary environment; Engage internal and external partners to deliver projects within defined scope, timelines, and budgets; Contribute to the broader Finance talent agenda as a member of the finance leadership team; Collaborate on cross-market or international initiatives as applicable within Mars Veterinary Health
