Must Have
Hands on Experience in implementing GenAI and ML in software solutions, Proven leadership experience building and scaling AI or data-driven product capabilities, Track record of shipping AI-powered features in SaaS or enterprise products, Experience operating at senior leadership level, understanding of modern AI/ML approaches, including LLMs and applied AI systems, Ability to bridge technical depth with product thinking and business outcomes, Experience with data platforms, experimentation, and model deployment at scale, executive presence with ability to influence across Product, Engineering, and GTM teams, Experience building teams and attracting top AI talent, Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive clarity at scale, Customer-first approach to AI, focused on real value not hype, Pragmatic and outcome-oriented, Curious, forward-thinking and comfortable navigating rapid change

Define and lead AI vision across products and platform

About the role: Tempo is looking for a Vice President of Engineering - Artificial Intelligence to define and lead our AI vision across products and platform. This role will be responsible for turning AI into a core competitive advantage, shaping how customers plan, predict, and optimize work. You will operate at the intersection of product strategy, engineering execution, and business impact. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will set direction, build high-performing teams, and deliver AI-powered capabilities that are deeply embedded in Tempo’s product suite. A key mandate of this role is to establish Tempo’s long-term AI capability by defining strategy, building a strong in-house team, and ensuring tight alignment with product priorities.
