Must Have
2 years of recent relevant experience, Ability to coordinate volunteer scheduling, Ability to file alphabetically and chronologically and organize a filing system, Must be able to handle sensitive issues, Must be able to deal with a challenging work environment from time demands and conflicting priorities, Ability to be aware of surroundings and respond to emergency and/or urgent events, Ability to communicate with possibly disoriented, combative patients, Ability to work in mentally and physically demanding environment, Ability to listen and offer support and direction to volunteers, Must be able to work effectively with a minimum of supervision, Must be able to work under time-pressure and changing priorities and be able to deal with potentially conflicting demands, Must be able to discern sensitive issues and respond appropriately, Must be sensitive to the human needs and situations encountered in the provision of care

What You'll Do.
Develop and manage volunteer services program
Maintain accurate statistics
Evaluate volunteers annually
Monitor volunteer documentation
Maintain compliance with safety standards

Participate in patient/family assessment
Monitor volunteer assignments

We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** MPHS-Mills-Peninsula Medical Center **Position Overview:** Develops and manages a high quality program of volunteer services by building and managing a volunteer corps of competent and committed individuals. Manages all activities necessary to recruit, train, orient, supervise, and support lay volunteers to for the various volunteer positions. **Job Description** : _These Principal Accountabilities, Requirements and Qualifications are not exhaustive, but are merely the most descriptive of the current job. Management reserves the right to revise the job description or require that other tasks be performed when the circumstances of the job change (for example, emergencies, staff changes, workload, or technical development)._ **JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:** REGULATION & STANDARDS: • Maintains accurate statistics on a timely basis. • Evaluates volunteers on an annual basis. Completes written documentation. • Monitors and evaluates volunteer documentation. • Maintains documented compliance with all appropriate safety standards. • Maintains a file on each volunteer. • Develops and updates training materials. • Makes recommendations for the development of new/revised policies and procedures. • Monitors volunteer activity for optimal quality, compliance and risk reduction. • Contributes to annual evaluation of volunteer program and other agency evaluations. • Communicates agency policy and procedures to volunteers and insures compliance.
