Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related discipline from an accredited institution along with at least 18 credits of graduate-level mathematics courses or the equivalent of tested, Experience or demonstrated potential in effective undergraduate teaching, communication and interpersonal skills, such as the ability to interact with others with respect and empathy, Individuals from all backgrounds, including from underrepresented groups, are encouraged to apply., Successful candidates must be able to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and community members with a broad range of backgrounds and experiences.
Nice to Have
Experience teaching foundation-level math courses (such as GVSU’s MTH 108, 109, 110, 122, 123, and 124), Experiences using learner-centered and active learning approaches for teaching, Willingness to use or experience using appropriate technological tools to support students learning
