TAMIU is a Hispanic Serving Institution with over 8,000 students located in Laredo, Texas, a vibrant and bicultural city with a population of about 250,000. The university advances knowledge through research and discovery, teaching and learning, community engagement and public service, and with an intentional focus on student success and research excellence. For more information, please visit This is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering (9 Month Appointment; non-tenure track). Primary duties will include teaching courses such as Microprocessor Systems, Robotics & Automation, Machine Learning, Fundamentals of A.I., Networks & Data Communication, Digital Logic Design, as well as introductory computer programming courses. Successful candidates must also demonstrate the ability to mentor and advise students engaged in Senior Design projects and undergraduate research activities. Duties also include participating in ABET accreditation activities such as assessment and evaluation of student outcomes and other service activities as needed by the School of Engineering. This position requires face-to-face interactions through a regular schedule of attendance on campus and in the workplace.
