Summary The VIP Interior Mechanic works under general supervision to safely perform aircraft removals, installation, and/or fabrication of aircraft interiors (which may include galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors, and panels). We have multiple openings for this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manufactures and fabricates monuments from raw materials on VIP aircraft including wood, honeycomb, fiberglass, sheet metal and veneers. Fabricates, fit trims and installs interior components, galleys, bulk heads, doors, side ledges, game, and conference tables. Reads and interprets blueprints and engineering drawings. Performs troubleshooting and repairs to inspect incoming cabinetry and interior, removals, inventory, interior, protection, and proper interior nomenclature for part identification. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform duties. Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and make other adjustments, as necessary. Communicates effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise. Completes job assignments in a timely manner. Completes on-the-job-training (OJT) forms and required reading. Helps with general clean-up of work area. Responsible for accurately clocking to jobs. Regular and prompt attendance. Effective and appropriate conduct with coworkers. Other duties as assigned.
