**POSITION SUMMARY** : The position, under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, is responsible for partnering with chairs to develop strategies for and run clinical operations across multiple departments: Anesthesiology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Surgery, and Urology. In addition, this position supervises the Executive Director of Procedural Operations in the hospital, who manages operating room capital budgets, recommends block allocation changes, and staffs the OR Executive Committee for the hospital. The incumbent will help lead multidisciplinary strategic projects for the hospital as well as ensure that daily operations achieve quality improvement, fiscal accountability, and productivity and patient satisfaction goals/objectives as established by the leadership team. **Position** : Vice President, Surgical Services **Department** : Administration **Schedule** : Full Time **Essential Responsibilities/Duties:** Leadership * Under the general guidance of the COO and in alignment and collaboration with the Surgeon-in-Chief, surgical chiefs, and the Operating Room Executive Committee (OR Exec), determines the overall direction, goals, tactics, and objectives of surgical services. * Works with the team to establish and achieve long range goals, and ensures the implementation of strategic business plans that are aligned with the vision, strategic plans, and goals of the institution * Serves as a critical leader at BMC, leading strategic initiatives, driving performance improvement initiatives, presenting data and trends, and working to optimize volume, utilization, and year over year performance. * Ensures healthy and collaborative relationships among the faculty and staff * Develops effective and clear methods of communicating with hospital and physician leaders, clinical faculty, and staff on a regular basis. * Keeps current regarding trends and developments in the health care field, partic
