What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Deep experience in private biotech companies running both pre-clinical and clinical programs. Finance expertise, technical and operational accounting depth, proven leadership, and a demonstrated ability to build and deploy strategic finance processes at scale. Comfortable working independently in a resource-constrained environment while overseeing a lean finance and accounting function and also providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team. Primary steward of the company’s financial strategy, discipline, systems, and governance.
What You'll Do.
Oversee and manage all accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls
ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable regulations
manage monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and tax and regulatory filings
initiate/lead financial statement audits
partner with the CEO and leadership team to develop and refine the company’s financial strategy and long-term operating plan
provide scenario modeling within budgets, forecasts, and long-range planning models, and deliver capital allocation support
fundraising, investor relations, and board-level financial reporting
implement and maintain innovative and scalable accounting and financial systems, processes and controls
oversee cash flow management, including tracking of R&D spend.
