What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution required, Minimum of 7-10 years’ relevant legal experience, in civil litigation, intellectual property, first amendment law, copyright law and criminal prosecution, Demonstrated ability to provide oversight and thought leadership to group-wide strategic level projects and manage senior executive level client relationships, Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills required to establish and build effective relationships at the highest level, Demonstrated ability to anticipate areas of executive management concern, integrate varied perspectives, and respond accordingly, matter management skills - ability to effectively prioritize litigation cases and work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment, Superior negotiation skills, Bi-lingual English/Spanish

Experience in the Broadcast Media industry preferred
What You'll Do.
executing the strategic leadership and management of legal matters
discovery operations of the department
matter management for litigations
internal investigations and required reporting
develop risk mitigating strategies
Provide expert in-house legal guidance
and implement the risk management approach
strategically manage all areas of risk including
employment litigation
data protection disputes & patent and intellectual property litigation in the US
Employment and Litigation
Co-General Counsel and business teams to proactively develop content protection enforcement strategies
Strategic management of litigation
and state and federal governmental investigations
Routinely update and counsel senior management and legal functional leaders
Hands on approach to managing litigation
Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy obligations
Maintain current on business objectives and growth strategy
Effectively research emerging litigation trends and risks
Successfully manage and build effective relationships with member companies
outside legal counsel
internal constituents
and other external constituents
Provide review and counseling on indemnity clauses and insurance in significant contracts
Proactively teach and train the business
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
works across the enterprise internally and externally; coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including finance, compliance and legal; Partner with the SVP, Employment and Litigation, Co-General Counsel and business teams; build effective relationships with member companies, outside legal counsel, internal constituents, and other external constituents; teach and train the business
