Chief Mate or Second Engineer (CoC), Sailed on International Trading vessels for minimum 5 years, Background in safety, Practical knowledge of ship construction, Practical knowledge of ship structures, Practical knowledge of ship machinery, Practical knowledge of ship repairing, Practical knowledge of ships’ operations, Practical knowledge of chartering, Practical knowledge of Quality Management System, Good understanding of ship surveys, Good understanding of certification, Good understanding of PSC, Good understanding of USCG, Good understanding of Flag State Surveys, Good understanding of International Legislation relevant to shipping, Good understanding of IMO regulations, Good understanding of ILO regulations, Good understanding of Industry Practices, Good understanding of ISM Code, Good understanding of STCW, Thorough understanding of vessel operations, Thorough understanding of current industry standards, Thorough understanding of recommended best practices, Excellent IT skills, Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Respond to phone calls
Escalate critical issues
Maintain vetting database
Input Port State Control data
Review Root Cause Analysis quality
Review Corrective Action plans quality
Review Preventative Action plans quality
Engage with Ship Managers on requirements
Review investigation reports quality
Assist Vetting Superintendents
Support Vetting Operations
Manage routine vetting enquiries
Prioritize own workload
Ensure deadlines are achieved
Maintain high quality of service
Ensure high level of accuracy
Ensure data validation
