What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT/LVMT), diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS), and/or equivalent experience (e.g., sonographer course certificates), 3+ years veterinary ultrasound experience, Previous training experience and the patience to teach and develop doctors, nurses, and fellow sonographers

What You'll Do.

Perform ultrasound studies and facilitate ultrasound training at your home hospital and regional hospitals

Maintain good relationships with and accept feedback from teleconsultation radiologists reading your studies

Ensure all training content and activities are in alignment with VEG culture

and represent accurate

up-to-date sonographic techniques

Track doctor and nursing team skills with a VEG Ultrasound Certificate checklist

Engage in self-reflection and program evaluation practices to modify and enhance VEG’s ultrasound training programs

Regularly meet with the medical directors

and director of radiology education to discuss program development

Regularly meet with the hospital manager and medical director to discuss implementation of new training protocols

Coordinate weekly schedule to work on the floor shifts with the hospital manager and medical director and devote time to training responsibilities

May assist in developing ultrasound curriculum material

and assessments to be implemented across the doctor and nursing team training programs

May provide educational demonstrations for doctors and nurses at other VEGs

including ultrasound topics

and musculoskeletal studies
