POSITION SUMMARY: Lakefield Veterinary Group is seeking an experienced Veterinary Hospital Manager. If you are passionate about caring for animals and people, and you have a track record of natural leadership, please apply! Ideally, our candidate would have 2+ years of experience working with a multi-doctor veterinary practice. All qualified candidates will be considered, and salary is based on experience. Hospital administrators play a key role in driving the performance of a veterinary hospital in partnership with the area manager and the veterinary leadership. This position oversees the business and staff aspects of the practice and has responsibility for all support and operational functions, such as human resources, financial, operational, and business activities. Hospital Administrators are expected to be available to team members during the hospital’s operational hours. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (Essential Qualifications): Education: Bachelor’s Degree or AA in related field or equivalent work experience Experience: • 2+ years of experience in overall operations, financial and facilities management, and/or Human Resources • This includes two years of job-specific experience in a hospital management role within the veterinary or human health industry • Experience leading a large team of individuals preferred Knowledge, Skills and Ability: • Knowledge of state, federal, and local employment and safety laws and regulations • Lead and manage a department and employees • Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills • Present information in a clear, organized, and concise manner both verbally and in writing • Interact with a variety of clients and employees in a professional and effective manner. • Leverage interpersonal skills and technical knowledge to bring people and ideas together to perform effectively • Strong collaboration skills with internal teams and external partnerships for the purpose of building alliances with key individuals or groups •
