Must Have

High school diploma or equivalent, 1+ years in a veterinary assistant role, Basic computer skills, Understanding of practice management software, Understanding of electronic medical record keeping, Fine motor skills, Ability to stand for prolonged hours, Ability to kneel, Ability to work on the floor, Ability to lift up to 25 kg, Able to support up to 40 kg with assistance, Willing to work in a noisy environment, Willing to work with unpleasant odors, Availability to work nights, Availability to work weekends, Availability to work holidays

Nice to Have

Enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program, Emergency or specialty experience

What You'll Do.

Triage incoming patients

Guide patients toward care

Assist with treatments

Assist with nursing care

Assist with diagnostics

Set up anesthesia cases

Monitor anesthesia cases

Set up sedation cases

Monitor sedation cases

Set up blood transfusions

Manage blood transfusions

Administer medications

Assist during outpatient care

Assist during inpatient care

Assist in treatment area

Stay close to clinical picture

Ensure continuity of care

Become RECOVER Certified Rescuer
