What You'll Do.

Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations

Assist veterinarians and vet techs during treatments

Assist veterinarians and vet techs during surgeries

Handle animals safely and compassionately

Restrain animals safely and compassionately

Prepare examination rooms

Prepare surgical areas

Clean equipment and surfaces

Sterilize equipment and surfaces

Perform basic laboratory tests

Collect blood samples

Collect urine samples

Collect stool samples

Administer medications under supervision

Administer vaccinations under supervision

Feed animals as needed

Bathe animals as needed

Exercise animals as needed

Maintain accurate medical records

Communicate with pet owners about care

Communicate with pet owners about treatment plans

Communicate with pet owners about follow-up visits

Stock clinic supplies

Ensure a safe clinic environment
