We are seeking an experienced **Veterinary Assistant** to join our team of dedicated veterinary professionals at our fast-paced multi-doctor practice located in Long Beach. Our practice provides high-quality care to our patients in a positive, team-oriented work environment. **Location:** 3080 Woodruff Ave, Suite B, Long Beach, CA 90808 **Salary:** $17.00 - $27.50 based on skill level and experience **Schedule:** Full-Time, closing shift with rotating Saturdays **Why We Need You** As a member of our team, your mission will be to support our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include, but are not limited to: * Anesthetic monitoring * Dentistry skills * Venipuncture * Catheter placement * Cystocentesis * Physical examinations and patient assessment * Preparing the surgical suite * Patient recovery * Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging * Giving injections and vaccinations * Performing nail trims, anal gland expressions, and ear cleaning * Filling prescriptions * Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets * Maintaining medical records. * Maintaining a clean and well-organized treatment area **Requirements** * **1-2 years of clinical experience** * High school diploma required **Why You Should Consider Us** **Benefits:** We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and paid vacation/sick days, 401(k), generous employee pet discounts, and more!
