Full Job Description

The Marketing and Events Coordinator supports the visibility, growth, and day-to-day engagement activities of the Vertex Innovation Hub. This is an execution-focused role responsible for implementing approved marketing and event strategies, coordinating logistics, and ensuring that operational and communication activities are carried out consistently and professionally. The position supports marketing implementation, successful event coordination and execution, visitor engagement, and day-to-day liaison needs for Businesses in Residence and members. The Coordinator plays an important role in bringing ideas forward, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing creative input. This role is essential to ensuring that plans are translated into action and that Vertex presents a polished, organized, and welcoming presence to faculty, students, industry partners, and community stakeholders. _**Responsibilities Include**_ : * Marketing & Communications: Develop/manage content across website, social media, and other promotional materials. * Events: Coordinate end to end event logistics and support post event follow up and planning. * Business in Residence & Member Support: Liaise with BIRs/ members on joint marking efforts, events, and visitor facilitation. * External Representation & Visitor Engagement: Represent Vertex/Florida Tech at external events and lead/support tours when needed. * Operational Support: Maintain well organized records and physical assets and assist with internal coordination for procurement, CRM management, and general facility needs. _**Requirements Include**_ : * Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, event management, business, or related field preferred. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple detailed tasks simultaneously. * Comfort working in a public-facing, professional environment. * High attention to detail and follow-through. *
