Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or a related field, 8 years of utility vegetation management experience, ISA Arborist Certification, valid driver’s license, clean driving record
Nice to Have
Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or a related field, 9 years of utility vegetation management experience, ISA Utility Specialist Credential, state issues Pesticide license
What You'll Do.
Develop Scope of Work documentation
Review vegetation contractor bids
Communicate critical information between departments
Manage several projects concurrently
Ensure projects are completed to specified scope
Obtain permits from public agencies
Comply with all regulatory requirements
Perform emergency response duties
Conduct safety and productivity audits
Identify and inspect local trees
Patrol and investigate circuits
Enter tree trimming prescription
Notify property owners of work
Manage issuance of work
Perform outage investigations
Negotiate line-clearance crew access
Lead storm restoration efforts
Perform vegetation observer role
Audit tree trimming work
Determine when next tree trimming is required
Complete post audit forms

This position will play a key role in identifying, inspecting, and evaluating trees and brush along utility lines and submitting inspection results to clients with recommendations. This position plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of assigned tree clearance crews. This position requires a love of working outside, excellent attention to detail, and exceptional interpersonal communications skills. **What You’ll Do** Project Management * Develop “Scope of Work” documentation for bids from vegetation contractors * Review vegetation contractor bids for capital projects * Communicate critical information between departments to ensure resource availability * Manage several projects concurrently under customer advisement * Ensure projects are completed to specified scope of work Maintain State, Local, & Organizational Compliance * Obtain permits from public agencies and documents work * Comply with all regulatory requirements and client vegetation management standards * As requested, perform all necessary duties for emergency response in accordance with all safety requirements, law and regulations, and applicable labor agreements *
