**Job Description** **Harborview Medical Center – Environmental Services Department** has an outstanding opportunity for a**Utility Worker 2.** **WORK SCHEDULE** * 100% FTE (40 hours per week) * Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM * May require the ability to work weekends and holidays **DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION** The Environmental Services (EVS) Department supports a safe, clean, and efficient environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The team helps maintain hospital operations through supply management, equipment support, and responsive service to hospital units. **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS** * Manage stockroom organization and deliver supplies to hospital units * Maintain and troubleshoot EVS equipment to ensure functionality * Work in a fast-paced hospital environment supporting multiple departments **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** * Maintain stockroom cleanliness, organization, and safe workflows. * Monitor and manage inventory of Environmental Services (EVS) supplies, notifying designated staff when restocking is needed. * Receive, inspect, and verify incoming supply deliveries, ensuring packing slips are reviewed and properly logged. * Organize and store supplies in designated stockroom locations in accordance with safety standards. * Transport and deliver supplies, equipment, and furniture to hospital units as needed. * Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain EVS equipment, including dispensers, vacuums, buffers, wet vacs, carpet extractors, and ride-on floor machines. * Perform routine preventive maintenance on EVS equipment to ensure proper function and reduce downtime. * Tag and coordinate vendor repair for equipment that cannot be repaired in-house. * Respond to work orders submitted through a computerized maintenance management system. * Communicate with custodial teams and hospital departments regarding supply needs, equipment use, and repair timelines. **REQUIREMENTS** * Physical strength to perform required work * One year of work experience that includes
