It’s an opportunity to grow your skills and experience as a valued member of the team. **Underwriter II, Energy** This Underwriter role will be an ideal next step in your career if you already have some relevant experience in insurance – or this could be your entry into underwriting if you have transferable skills. **Make your mark in Underwriting** AIG underwriting teams help to find insurance solutions in areas including Financial Lines, Property, Casualty, Specialty Lines, Cyber, Multinational Clients, and High Net Worth individuals. We are reimagining how we help customers to manage risk, transforming our operating model, and reshaping our role responsibilities and career pathways. The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague – empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG. **How you will create an impact** * This role will focus on underwriting new and renewal business to help drive the profitable growth of our Power and Utility segment. * You will be responsible for assessing the desirability of risk through regular contact with brokers, close co-ordination with AIG subject matter experts and robust reviews of claims history and general company information. * Your relationships with brokers will be key to your success. You will need to provide excellent service to brokers through a consistent, timely, and proactive approach to underwriting. You will also aim to generate new business by expanding your broker network, attending broker events, and building new relationships across the market – in line with a sales plan established with your manager. * Another key aspect of the role is the provision of accurate monthly management information including submissions, bind rate, average premium, and total premium. **What you’ll need to succeed** * 3+ yrs
