Must Have
High School diploma or equivalent, Graduate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography and/or Vascular accredited program, ARDMS registered, ARDMS-Abdominal and Breast required, CPR and BLS certification required, Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

What You'll Do.
Perform complex procedures
Obtain highest quality diagnostic images
Supervise day-to-day operations
Coordinate/manage scheduling
Perform diagnostic imaging studies
Assist with education and training
Assist in developing new protocols
Assist in developing Ultrasound imaging techniques
Participate in research initiatives
Develop research protocols
Act in team leader capacity
Monitor charging of procedures
Monitor supplies daily
Demonstrate Ultrasound equipment
Provide in-service classes
Aid with orientation and training
Obtain and examine Ultrasound order
Ensure orders are appropriate
Notify supervisor of discrepancies
Contact physician's office for correct orders
Identify patient service requirements
Establish personal rapport with patients
Obtain necessary consents
Perform complex specialized tasks
Integrate diagnostic results

The University of Miami UHealth – Department of Radiology- at SoLé Mia has an exciting opportunity for a full time Ultrasound Technologist 3 - Mammography. The Mammography Ultrasound Technologist - Level III is responsible for performing complex procedures in Ultrasound through the operations of radiographic equipment to obtain highest quality of diagnostic images. Independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative are essential in addition to responsibility for designated areas, procedures and equipment. Supervises the day-to-day operations in the absence of modality Chief Technologist or Radiology Manager. **CORE JOB FUNCTIONS** * Coordinate/manage scheduling and patient flow for interdepartmental procedures. * Supervises as well as performs diagnostic imaging studies under the direction/supervision of a radiologist. * Assist with the education and training of new physicians. * Assist radiologists and PhD's in developing new protocols and Ultrasound imaging techniques that are unique to facility. * Participate in research initiatives and development of research protocols. Act in a team leader capacity on a routine basis. * Monitor charging of Ultrasound procedures and supplies daily to ensure correctness. * Demonstrate Ultrasound equipment for 'site visits' for visiting physicians and administrators. * Provide in-service classes in section.
