What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Graduation from college or equivalent with a bachelor’s degree, Progressively responsible experience independently coordinating, scheduling and managing documents control in a wide variety of construction projects, Working knowledge of office software (MS Word & Excel) and associated equipment, Considerable knowledge of drainage, grading, earthwork operation, roadway and utility construction methods, materials, standards and construction symbols and terminology, Working knowledge of state and federal safety, environment, and EEO/DBE guidelines and regulations, Must be able to read, understand and interpret civil engineering plans, architectural plans and contract specifications, The ability to think logically and systematically through the various phases of a project, Ability to prepare and allocate time and effort across multiple projects in multiple geographic locations and prioritize daily and weekly tasks is required, Must possess a valid state driver’s license and be able to drive a vehicle
Nice to Have
5+ years additional training / experience in drainage, grading, earthwork, and transportation/utility work preferred, but not required, Professional Registration is beneficial, but not required, A current working knowledge of prevailing market rates for major cost items (earthwork, pipe installation, site concrete, etc. ) for site construction projects is a plus, Familiarity with VDOT Road and Bridge Standards and Construction specifications is a plus, Prior experience with engineering design a plus, Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus, Working knowledge of MS Project (or equal) is a plus, Ability to prepare or work with CAD drawings is a plus
What You'll Do.
Oversees the construction phase of the project from a contract administration perspective
Manages all necessary documents associated with each project
Develop construction contract documents
review and respond as necessary to all project documents
Attend and facilitate Pre-construction meetings
Progress Meetings and other construction project related meetings
Resolve field construction issues
Prepare field directives/sketches for contractor
Visit construction sites and document pertinent observations
Perform other duties as assigned

Prompt, concise and accurate communication with Client, Project Stakeholders, Project Manager, Inspectors and contractor; Apprise the Timmons Group Project Manager of the project’s progress and seek direction on all salient issues; Independent decisions and communications with external parties

Prompt, concise and accurate communication with Client, Project Stakeholders, Project Manager, Inspectors and contractor; Independent communications with external parties; Frequent communication with the owner, contractor, public, utility companies, project engineers and agencies having jurisdiction
Process & Methodology
Coordinating, Scheduling, Managing documents control, Prepare and allocate time and effort across multiple projects, Prioritize daily and weekly tasks
