Ensure all sites meet transportation compliance standards; Minimize risk and ensure regulatory adherence; Improve driver behavior and safety metrics

Independent decision-making
Ability and willingness to travel (approximately 50%) to various site locations across Canada, including remote areas, Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required, Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date

8+ years of dedicated experience in Canadian transportation compliance, Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
What You'll Do.
Ensure all sites meet transportation compliance standards
Support driver performance management
Oversight of Provincial and Federal motor carrier regulations
Ensure the company maintains compliant driver and maintenance files
Track driver performance
Monitor compliance trends
Provide technical support to field leadership
Minimize risk and ensure regulatory adherence
and identify driver compliance issues
Address non-compliance directly with field operations and EHS leadership
Monitor and ensure compliance with Provincial and Federal Commercial Motor Carrier regulations
Manage internal and external reporting
Oversee Driver Qualification Files within the internal Safety Management System (SEMS)
Maintain records and audit all carrier profiles and SMS data
Conduct comprehensive audits of maintenance files
Partner with Fleet and Risk Management teams
Support hiring managers in risk assessments of potential driver abstracts
Review major or reportable accidents
Lead regular calls with Operations and Regional leadership
Manage annual specialized compliance projects
Support the application and utilization of GeoTab and Lytx
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Engage with Operations teams across Canada; Address non-compliance directly with field operations and EHS leadership; Partner with Fleet and Risk Management teams; Support hiring managers in risk assessments; Lead regular calls with Operations and Regional leadership
Communication Scope
Excellent presentation skills; Ability to translate complex regulatory concepts to all levels of the organization
